Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit Review

“That Glow”

Hey guys, today we will be talking about probably one of the most wanted highlight kits out there, The Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit. I believe I bought this back in January/December time frame, I don't remember honestly, but I do know it had just come out. I had been meaning to post this review, because I definitely have some thoughts. So lets get right into it.

The Product

We are talking about The Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in “That Glow”. Its a four metallic powder highlighter kit for intense luminosity. brings instant luminosity to the complexion with these powder highlighters, As described on the Sephora website.

My Experience

Sooo…. This product I’m not mad at it, but I’m not blown away. I really only use one of the shades in there because I feel as though the others are just too light or too bronze. The formula is great, it’s really pigmented and smooth which I definitely loved and appreciated. Overall I found myself reaching for my Laura Geller Gilded Honey highlighter more then this kit, which in my opinion Dripping in Gold and Gilded Honey are very similar. Overall, I like the formula and the consistency of it, when applied right. I will go into more of what I didn’t like later in the post.

Packaging and Application

I kind of wish ABH would have stuck with their classic packaging. It just kind of different from the brands other packaging they’ve been using, so I would have loved for them to kept it cohesive. Now application, to be honest I was annoyed with the kit when I first got it because I would put on too much, its so pigmented that you can easily go over board, but after a few tries I got it down. Now 99% of the time I only ever just wear highlight by itself, I never put on a full face, only for blog/video purposes. So I gave it a test run, when applied by itself on the skin, it will not last.. at all, It easily came off. Then I tried it by laying down the Benefits Watts Up and then applying the powder over it and it lasted a lot longer, I think it even out lasted the LG Gilded Honey one time I used it. However, its very hit or miss sometimes with using the Benefits Watts Up under it. Honestly maybe its me but everything is like hit or miss with this product. Also why earlier I stated I like the formula and consistency when applied right.

What I Didn’t Like

Again maybe it was me, but I didn’t like that it was a hit or miss on some days. Also I didn't like that it would not last if I didn't lay down a cream base first on the cheeks, for ABH you’d expect it to be long wearing no matter what. I don’t like that there is only one color I use, I really want to use all colors to really justify the price, but thy just don't work for me. Packaging, I have been wanting to go and get a z-palette and take out the pans so I wouldn't feel like it was out of place. Thats all pretty much it that I had to say I didn't like.

Final Thoughts

Will I repurchase?
Probably not, I’m actually probably going to give it to my mom. I only use one color and that one color is similar to Gilded Honey.

Would you recommend this product to other?
Yes/No. Like I said, I love how pigmented it is and smooth it is. But I would only recommend it to someone who can use more then one of the shades, it will justify the price.

Overall Satisfaction?
I would give this a 5 out of 10, 10 being overly satisfied. Just because overall Im not mad, but Im not impressed. I do think it was over hyped, but I REALLY wanted to just be blown away by this.

Thats is the end of my review, I hope you guys found that helpful and helped you decide if you would like to purchase the product. This is available at Sephora, Macys, and other stores that sell ABH. That is it for this review, I will link the product down below. I hope you enjoyed this review.
